The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is a beauty therapy qualification aimed at learners with no formal background in beauty therapy training, who wish to gain access to additional study of advanced therapy treatments at levels 4 and above.
This qualification consists of units at level 2 and 3 combined to provide the learner with the required underpinning knowledge to afford direct progression onto specific modality training at level 4 +.

Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis
The VTCT Skills Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support, AED, and Management of Anaphylaxis is for learners who want to gain the knowledge and skills needed to give basic life support and handle anaphylaxis during emergencies. This qualification can also be used to support the prerequisite requirements for VTCT Skills Aesthetic suite of qualifications.
The qualification covers the following areas in line with the First Aid at Work Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, Guidance on Regulations (L74) Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines:
• Assessing emergency situations
• Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
• Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
• Provide first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
Through this qualification, the learner will develop the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with an adult who is unresponsive or experiencing an anaphylactic reaction.
